The workshop/studio (depends what the day is as to what I call it) is almost ready.
It's been a long journey to get here, plans changed and changed and changed again, we live next to a mine shaft and had to build up rather than dig down and disturb anything. The neighbouring cottage has something mine related running underground that was filled in a few years back, I had a strong sense we should go up not down so that's what we did. Pillars were built, frames went up, insulation and roofers and plastererers came and went and I learnt a lot about how much hard work it is to lay electric cables!
I am almost in though, I have shelves and a workbench installed and I've even got curtains up today over the french doors, this will enable privacy from prying eyes and also filter the sun away from my precious fabrics . The cutting table plans need to be re-assesed as having the shelves the way we planned to incorporate a cutting area wasn't going to work. I have had to change so many things to be honest it's no big deal I'm sure it will work out.
Fabrics and machines will be moving in there as soon as I can!
I am very much looking forward to beginning work in here :)
